Assessing Startups
The Assessment feature in AcceleratorApp provides startups and administrators with detailed insights into performance and progress. It uses data collected from evaluation forms in coaching sessions and application reviews to create visual charts and tables. These assessments help track startups’ growth, identify strengths, and highlight areas for improvement over time.
Where to Find Startup Assessments
From the Home Page or the top menu, click on Startup. Select and open a Startup File and click on Assessment in the left panel.
Step-by-Step Actions
STEP 1: From the Home Page or the top menu, click on Startup.
STEP 2: From Startup Portfolio page, select and view a Startup File.
STEP 3: From the Startup File, click on Assessments.
Performance Overview Tab:
- Overall Health: Displays a cumulative score based on evaluations tied to programs.
- Radar Chart: Compares scores from the three most recent assessments.
- Criteria Breakdown: Scores for each evaluation criterion and how they’ve changed over time.
Overview Tab:
- View topic-specific scores from coaching sessions. Click on the filters icon to select topics to include or exclude from the graph.
Evaluations Tab:
- Displays a table of all evaluations performed.
- Click on a row to see evaluation details by criteria, evaluator feedback, and aggregate scores.
Tips & Best Practices
- Use Trends for Decision-Making: Analyze graphs to identify long-term patterns and adjust support strategies accordingly.
- Provide Constructive Feedback: Use evaluations as a tool to give actionable insights to startups, not just scores.
